Are you an Entrepreneur without a good idea?

One of the greatest problems of people who has the passion and desire to start a company is not having good ideas.

It doesnt matter if you have money to invest on it, or the willingness to make something happen, even if you have a great deal of connections to support you… if you dont have a good idea you are basically screwed!

Here is the thing, usually this wannabe-entrepreneur has a bunch of ideas, maybe a word document with a list of links and notes all written in a quickly messy way as part of the rush of “oh I have big big idea!!” (sounds familiar to you?). Dozens of written ideas product of a sudden shining light bulb! But ZERO EXECUTION.

I actually think the problem is located in two main points, the Selection and Execution.

Cause, we are not complaining of not having enough ideas (we already got that, lots of them!); what we dont know is if they are actually worth pursuing. There are actually several methods that can help you choosing the potential winning-ideas such as Stage Gate Process, Outcome driven innovation, etc. But my greatest advice is:

Come on! Take action!

Give it a look to your rough word document again, discuss it with another business friend, and pick one, and test it!

“Do not confuse skepticism with cynicism – those are two different things. Cynical means you don’t have any expectation of good outcomes. Skeptical means you want things to be proven or shown.” -Bill Nye

if it doesnt work, hey you can still try the other 99 ideas of your list! : )
