I am a player on LAN (Latinamerica North) and as you might guess it, the language of the server is spanish, don’t get me wrong I like to play with my native language but every now and then is nice to play some games with the champs talking with different language and voices. So in this post (and video) I’ll show you how to change it to any language available that you like the most.
Before we start with the tutorial, you should know that I am not trying to teach you to play on the Korean or English server. You should know how to do that already, the purpose is to still play on the same server with a different language.
So here you can fine some information regarding language switching in the new client. So by making this changes the new client allow you to set to any language regardless of what server you are playing on.
- Close your League of Legends client.
- Find the following path on your computer:
- Open the file with any text editor (right click -> Notepad would be great) and you’ll should see a bunch of code lines, you need to find the following two:
- Change the code for the locale one to the language that you want (e.g. Korean, locale: “ko_KR”)
- Save the file and close it
- Launch league client and wait until it downloads all file voice overs, text and some other effects. This process shouldn’t take to long, it depends on the amount of content and the amount of patches that need to be downloaded.
